Statement by Katy Simon Holland - September 29, 2022.

"I am pleased to announce my endorsement of Keith Lockard for County Commissioner, District 2. In my 15 years as Washoe County Manager, I had the honor to witness first hand Keith’s professionalism, his integrity, his responsiveness, and his thorough understanding of the complex issues faced by local government leaders. He has dedicated his life to serving us all, whether as a professional engineer tasked with planning the infrastructure to support our growing region, or as a volunteer Trustee for our award-winning Library System, as well as many other important efforts. Keith will bring honesty, dignity, and a commitment to responsible leadership to his service on the County Commission. I urge voters in District 2 to elect Keith Lockard, the responsible choice for County Commissioner."

Katy Simon Holland was the Washoe County Manager from 1998 - 2013, and prior to that, Assistant County Manager for Finance and then Deputy County Manager. She was elected to the School Board in 2016 and served until 2020, being elected President of the Board by her colleagues for two of those four years. She is currently Senior Strategic Advisor with EDAWN and President of the Board of the Washoe K12 Education Foundation. Katy also currently serves on the Board of PBS Reno and the TMCC Foundation Board.
